Last month, Bruster’s released their September flavors of the month, and it was heavily apple-focused. This month, the popular ice cream flavor is back with flavors that will help to get people in autumn mode as we approach the beginning of October.

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream returns to New Jersey this weekend with the opening of a new Westwood location, three days of festivities − and a big prize offer for a lucky sweepstakes winner.

Bruce Reed founded Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in 1989 in Pennsylvania with a focus on homemade ice cream. Now in business for over 30 years with over 200 locations primarily across the Northeast, the chain still stays true to its roots by serving ice cream made in-house daily.

Westwood is about to get a whole lot sweeter. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, at 513 Broadway, will celebrate its grand opening weekend Sept. 6–8 with a lineup of family-friendly activities and celebrations. John and Heather Harrison, co-owners of the new location, are eager to serve and support the Westwood community. Heather, a Bruster’s veteran who began her journey as a teenage “scooper” at a Bruster’s in Pennsylvania, expressed her enthusiasm.

Loyalty360 spoke with Jennifer Brinker, VP of Marketing at Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, about engaging customers in personal and rewarding ways, the brand’s recent 35th anniversary celebration campaign, and what KPIs were prioritized to measure campaign success. 

Few ice cream chains have been growing quite as fast as Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, known for its fresh-made frozen treats and rotating flavor selections. Greece is getting a Bruster’s Real Ice Cream. It’s under construction at 824 Long Pond Road and sits next to a plaza that is anchored by Flight West Wine & Whiskey Bar and the Great American Diner.

This shop has shakes, freezes, cones and of course, ice cream. With more than 24 ever-changing flavors in their shops daily, Bruster’s is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. everyday. Here’s what one Yelp reviewer said: “First time here and so glad we came. Their Key Lime Pie ice cream is to die for and their cotton candy explosion is similar to Friendly’s. The Pennsylvania-based chain was started in 1989 by Bruce Reed, who was looking to provide fresh homemade ice cream to his community. Today, there are nearly 200 locations in the U.S. and Guyana, according to its website.

A Pittsburgh-based ice cream chain is expanding its DFW footprint: Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, founded in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, in 1989 by an actual guy named Bruce, is celebrating the grand opening of a location in Richardson, at 710 W. Renner Rd. #202, in a Tom Thumb shopping center at the intersection of Custer Parkway.

Richardson is about to get a whole lot sweeter! Bruster’s Real Ice Cream will open in Richardson this Memorial Day weekend, May 24 – 27, just in time for the unofficial start of summer.

Just in time for summer, Bergen County is getting another ice cream spot.

Last weekend’s warm weather brought a cool new treat for moms and families in Aurora. The first Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Illinois opened in the State’s second-largest city.

A new ice cream parlor will make its official debut in Aurora this weekend.Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, a national chain hailing from Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, will open its first Illinois location at 2440 S. Eola Road in Aurora.

After opening in March, Bruster’s Ice Cream will have its grand opening celebration this weekend in Aurora. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, as it’s known, features 24 flavors at a time out of a revolving 150 flavors or so. The Aurora facility is the first Illinois location of the popular chain from the Eastern part of the country.

2291 Brodhead Road, Hopewell Township, and 1525 Riverside Drive, Bridgewater. The scoop: Bruster’s features 150 rotating flavors of premium, handcrafted ice cream, yogurt, Italian ice and sorbet. New this year: Caramel Brownie Batter in May, Cookie Jar Crunch in July and Campfire S’mores in August, all created at the Hopewell store to be featured in the nationwide Bruster’s chain headquartered in Bridgewater. Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (changing to 11 p.m. June 1.)

#2. Bruster’s Graham Central Station: “For me, ice cream is all about nostalgia. Graham Central Station takes me back to the wobbly days of high school where my five best friends would cram on red metal benches made for four at Bruster’s Ice Cream. We’d celebrate our joys and curse our enemies over graham-flavored ice cream that had the perfect, not-too-gritty graham cracker swirls with specs of chocolate covered candy.

Although Bruster’s is a chain with locations all over the eastern US, their headquarters is actually right here in Southwestern Pennsylvania in Bridgewater and each store makes their own ice cream on the premises.

The family is holding a fundraiser at Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Williamsburg all day April 27, with 20% of all sales going to Langdon and his gracious donors.

Raphael and Sara Ortiz are taking the Virginia ice cream scene by storm, serving up one delicious scoop after another at their first Bruster’s Real Ice Cream shop in Haymarket. This husband-and-wife team isn’t new to the food service industry, where they’ve both served in leadership roles at Five Guys. But their entrepreneurial spirit led them to explore franchise ownership, and after careful consideration, they fell in love with Bruster’s Real Ice Cream.

The Bruster’s Ice cream parlor in Provo is small and cozy. You simply walk up to the window to place your order. Then you sit at one of the outdoor tables to socialize and enjoy your ice cream choices. At Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, you’ll find an assortment of flavors, from simple classics to fancier ones. We had the double chocolate ice cream. It was creamy and delicious.

The Northern Shenandoah Valley’s first Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is opening in May. Construction began Feb. 12 at 180 Kernstown Commons Boulevard south of Winchester, according to Raphael Ortiz, owner and CEO of the new Bruster’s location. However, planning started in 2021. “Our team looks forward to becoming a part of this vibrant community and creating a welcoming spot for families and friends to enjoy sweet scoops together,” Ortiz said in a statement. “Get ready to experience the joy of Bruster’s as we open our doors just in time for summer.”

On Saturday, Bruster’s Ice Cream hosted a PJ Day event where customers who showed up in their pajamas received a free ice cream cone. Bruster’s also hosted a pajama drive for children with the help of the event partner Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA. Ice Cream Scooper Ashley Navarrette showed her support rocking her pajamas to work and is always excited about pajama day! “We really enjoy giving back to the community and helping people in need,” Navarrette said.

A new ice cream shop is opening in Trussville. Bruster’s Real Ice Cream will open at 445 Main St. in the Winn Dixie-anchored Trussville Marketplace. Earlier this year, the company announced it would be opening nine new stores across the country, including the Trussville location.

Lauren Tucker was one of the first employees hired at the Bruster’s Real Ice Cream store in Dalton, Georgia when it first opened in 2012. She was just 17 years old and had no experience in ice cream, hospitality, or customer service. “It was my first job and has so far been my only job,” she proudly says today.
